Find Your Galapagos

On a recent trip, we went far away to the Galapagos Islands. We saw animals not seen anywhere else and some others we see in our backyards here in Maryland, a connection. In awe we saw how they adapted and keep fighting for survival. You can see a pretty finch, or a scurrying lizzard or you can see how they came to be, why they are there and why they look the way they do. If you do this you start connecting the dots...

We often think we have to travel to far away places to experience environments like the Galapagos. I thought that and I was so wrong. All you have to do is go in your back yard, or your closest nature environmental area, creek or lake, big or small and you start finding your own Galapagos, and connecting the dots.

So, it then becomes very clear we all are one system, all connected by the most advanced system ever created, capable of adaptation, evolution, regeneration and a circle of life. Lots of us have forgotten where they live, the true joy of life.  So do your part, look under that rock and follow it all the way !
